30 hours, 30 pages.

i am going to write 30 pages of footnoted, grade "A" mega-essay material in the next 30 hours. i'm going to need some major willpower on this so let's all say a prayer and hope i come through with my brain still a little more solid than alphabet soup.

back from southern sunbathing

so we got back from the dominican republic yesterday. it was a swelteringly good time, i'd say. i ate too much, drank too little, got too much sun, and too little exercise! highlights were it being my honeymoon, autumn being gorgeous, and pina coladas. beaches and beach buggies get honourable mentions.

downtown puerto plata was a nice place. rundown buildings looking all third-world and colonial and whatnot, but so much cleaner and less stinky than bangladesh!

the wedding last saturday, was an amazing experience. really pulled off nicely, though there were some hiccups in the ceremony (autumn didnt say a couple of the responses, jared forgot to tie the knot in our handfasting ceremony, etc.) but the day was awesome. weather held out, food and accomodations and people came together, and it topped off with a nice party at the ford plant with some friends for the night.
