breathe new life
shades of sun and springlit glades
dance in your eyes

hold the air in
for a moment
savour the melting nectar
of fresh wind

can you feel the moon
shining down on us?
she's almost invisible
above iceberg sky
but still, she's there
a comfort to those
raised up in the shade

you've glanced at me
but i turned away
your hands will stay cold
empty

not for one day
of tense and glorious joy
